Summer looks like it is finally on its way today. It is simply gorgeous outside today. I am at work. This is the life of a librarian. I do not know many librarians in the public or academic sector that don't have to sacrifice the occasional perfection of a sunny, blue sky day in the name of service. So in revenge, I am making up a list of things I plan to do this summer. So far I've got this:
- Sis-in-law and family visiting in May
- Mom & Granny visiting us in May (mainly to go to my cousin's graduation for which I have not yet received an announcement)
- buy pyramid trellises to grow my cucumbers on
- play the ponies at Arlington Park
- go to the Haeger pottery place and Raceway Woods with RepressedLibrarian.
- see the free Decemberists concert in Grant Park July 18
- see Pink Martini at Ravinnia
- visit Madison WI to eat ice cream and wander around
- Parents visit in July
- get lights for the dining room. I like these from Design Studio:

Yay for hanging out with me!
And a free Decemberists concert? I didn't know about that.
I'm so glad you know about Pink Martini. Aren't they delightful?
I learned about Pink Martini from you!
