Wow!
So much since last month. The day we signed on the dotted line for our house I got a call for a job. A real job. At a real library!
I'm working at the Huntley Area Public Library, which is about as far out in the Chicago suburbs you can go and still say you're from the Chicago area.
This is my third day at work. I love it. They are so nice and the library is just gorgeous.
We have had several visitors at our gorgeous new house. My parents and Granny were up the week of our move and Granny helped plant daffodils in the yard with a big shovel. We also got a lot of boxes unpacked and now all we need is more furniture. Oh! We finally sold some of our old stuff that just didn't work. So now we are looking for new bedroom furniture except for a bed, which we already have.
The week after our move in, my father came back by for a visit since he was at a meeting nearby and then out of the blue Mandie, of Mandie in Sweden, came for a visit as well. We girls went shopping at the fancy shopping mall while the men toiled endless hours to winterize the pool.
I think the funniest thing to happen us was when we realized that our (old) new phone number belonged to an escort service and we kept getting men calling and asking if we had anyone available tonight and what were our rates!!! Thankfully, that got changed without much fuss.
This past week Martin and I went to Halifax Nova Scotia for a meeting and then spent the next few days driving around Nova Scotia and seeing beautiful Lunenburg. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. So quaint.
